Polishing rod (shaping rod): The solid wood polishing rod is mainly used for shaping (making smooth leather edges) during the edge treatment (edge banding) of vegetable tanned leather handmade leather goods. The conventional name is the polishing rod, but the actual function is plastic 形function. The sanding function (grinding and removing uneven edges) requires sandpaper/sand strips.

How to use the sanding rod (shaping rod): Several width grooves on the sanding rod are suitable for leather of different thickness. After applying edge banding agent (or CMC, etc.), the leather edge is snapped into the groove of the appropriate width of the sanding rod to go back and forth quickly The movement and friction of the leather edge form a round and smooth convex surface.
