Delivery Policy

General Terms and Conditions for delivery:

  • We normally process order within 48 working hours of receipt of order
  • Our delivery partners are communicated to pickup the ready shipments from our warehouse for delivery to the customers.
  • In most of the cases the delivery to Metro cities of Australia should happen within 3 to 5 working days and for non metro areas within 5 to 9 days depending on the location, size of the order and time of the year.

Delivery Locations

We deliver to most residential and business addresses across Australia. Unfortunately, there are certain remote locations that we are unable to deliver to. These include overseas or to Australian islands off the mainland except for Tasmania.

Stationery Nest is unable to deliver to PO Boxes or Lockers.

Missed Deliveries

When no one is available to sign for the order, a card will be left with a contact number to arrange an alternative delivery day by the delivery service provider.

Public Holidays

When a delivery is scheduled on a public holiday, it will occur on the next business day or couple of business days.

Special Orders

Certain products are marked as “Special Order” and are delivered separately. These products may be delivered directly from our suppliers.

The delivery time frame is approximate depending on supplier’s stock availability. Customised special order furniture products and custom print orders cannot be returned or refunded due to change of mind as they are manufactured and produced according to customer specifications. These products can only be returned if faulty or damaged.

Change in Delivery conditions

Delivery schedule, charges and delivery time are all subject to change without any intimation and notice. These are subject to public holidays, work load of ours and delivery partners, traffic, political situations, and other circumstances like pandemic, lockdown, closures, road work, public holidays, events, etc.

Insurance

The products delivered from our warehouse are not insured. The buyer of the products are fully responsible to take their own transit and transport insurance for any loss or damage.

Returns Policy

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

Additional non-returnable items:

* Gift cards

* Downloadable software products

* Some health and personal care items

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)

* Book with obvious signs of use

* CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.

* Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

* Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.  If you need to exchange it for the same item, please reach out to us through the Order History page on Kogan and send your item to our warehouse.

Shipping

To return your product, you should mail your product.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Freight paid for purchase and return of goods are non refundable by us. This cost has to be paid by the buyer. All goods supplied by us are not insured. The buyer needs to purchase insurance if they desire to do so. We are not responsible for any loss, damage, pilferage, breakage, leakage, mismatch, late delivery, mis-delivery etc for any goods purchased from us either from our website or otherwise.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
