6th release in Glenmorangie’s Bond House No. 1 assortment was refined in 1996 and matured in first – fill bourbon casks. Produced using oak handpicked from Missouri’s Ozark Mountains, these containers aren’t only any old barrels. Or maybe, they were made to Glenmorangie’s demanding determinations and loaded up with Bourbon on Glenmorangie’s directions. The general flavor profile is apparently like Glenmorangie Astar . The wood adds additional richness to the malt, just this is a whole lot more seasoned whisky than Astar.
The Bond House No.1 arrangement reliably rate exceptionally, with the 1991 Awarded Whisky of the Year at the 2019 International Whisky Competition.
