This underground cable wire locator NF816L is designed to locate and trace low voltage cables buried and hidden wires underground such as for garden lightning systems and landscape automatic watering systems. It can also be used to trace other metal cables either underground or in-wall wires. The detection depth range is 60cm (2 feet) and the maximum cable length is 600M (2000 feet). 

• Pinpoint wires for Pet Fence/Electrical Wires, Metal Pipes, Coax Cable, etc. underground or in-wall, or detect and trace the breaking point of the wire
• Wire tracer range up to 60cm (2 feet) deep and 600M (2000 feet) in length, to locate the alarm, sound & computer wires, measure wire depth, and pinpoint drill sites.
• Sound level adjustment to improve efficiency. 
• A pair of earphones supplied can be connected to the receiver 3.5mm jack in a noisy environment. 
• White LED flashlight on the receiver
• Built-in 3.7V 1100mA rechargeable lithium battery on both transmitter and receiver

• Connect the transmitter to the wire and turn it on. Red alligator clip for the signal, black clip can be connected to ground or neutral or unloaded. 
• Turn on the receiver
• Hang the antenna of the receiver on the ground and swing it back and forth
• When the breakpoint is reached, the tone will weaken and then disappear. The tone will disappear when it is directly above the breakpoint.
