This sturdy wooden-based game is designed to withstand the test of time. To set up, each player inserts a colored stick into the base holes of the game board, securing it with its black end at the bottom. Players attach two clips to each stick in the black area, sliding one monkey onto each stick, with the palm leaves at the top ready to be reached.

Gameplay begins when the first player rolls the die to determine their move. By adjusting the monkey figure upward until the rolled color is visible, the clip is attached at that position. Players can decide to move the lower clip instead of the upper one to enhance stability as their monkey climbs higher. If black is rolled, the upper clip is removed, sending the monkey back down to the lower black starting field, while the second clip offers some cushion for the fall. Rolling a white die allows players to either push both clips up one space or continue rolling until another color appears.

The first player to reach the palm leaves with their monkey wins the game! Suitable for ages 3 and up, Monkey Rally can be played by 2-4 players. For younger children, the game can be simplified to include only one clip per player, with adjustments for black rolls requiring a move back of two spaces.
