"The device works fine with or without the App support from the smart things app - it does not work via Alexa however, and Alexa cannot even find this device on the network (contrary to what the ad says). The cat took a few days to get used to it, and she still seems to prefer drinking out of a tap (oddly), but thats not practical so she will do this of an evening. It uses a small fish tank type pump, which is pretty much silent, but as other reviews say, the water does make a noise though it is nothing to be too bothered about. Changing filters is very easy, although they don't last long, and cleaning the pump is also pretty simple. The replacement filters aren't cheap so factor that in, i'm not sure of the life expectancy of this, given the cost of consumables but quality wise there seems to be nothing bad to say after 3 or so months of it running most of the time. It does have the ability to turn on and off with timers via the app which is also handy."
"It is simple to use. 2 of 3 cats are getting the hang of it, the last one might take to it when it gets thirsty. It is SOOO quiet, it doesn't wake the light sleeper human only 10 feet away. Love that we can turn the LED light off (at night) if we want. The only thing it doesn't do is give me an active water level reading."
"Easy to setup. Comes with 2 filters. Note that it is powered by USB and doesn't include a wall adapter. Cat happy with it and drank from it straight away. You don't have to install the app to use it. Seems easy to clean, time will tell. Quiet enough, pump is silent but wouldn't want to have it in a quiet room as the water does make splashing noises, no water dampening."
