Background:

Designed for use with the Lansky® Controlled Angle Sharpening System, the Coarse Diamond Sharpening Hone is essential for repairing and sharpening very dull edges. With its abrasive diamond coatings, this hone is perfect for modern, wear-resistant tool steels.

• Brass Threaded Insert: Features a brass threaded insert for a stainless steel thumb screw, ensuring a secure and stable fit.

1. Assemble the Hone: Begin by assembling the hone with a guide rod (included with the Controlled Angle Kit or sold individually).
2. Set the Angle: Once the guide rod is properly installed, select the angle on the clamp that matches the pre-existing bevel of your knife, unless you intend to change the angle.
3. Changing the Bevel Angle: To change the bevel grind angle of your knife, set the clamp to your preferred angle. Note that regrinding a knife bevel by hand can take significantly longer than just sharpening and may cause quicker wear on the hones. The Extra Coarse Hone is most recommended for angle re-profiling.
