The Active Airflow 4-layer protection system includes: Layer 1, a flexible hard shell for protection and ability to slide on hard surfaces; Layer 2, tear-resistant Armortex fabric that resists tearing or catching; Layer 3, body-mapped impact-absorbing SmartFlex pads that are flexible as you ride and harden on impact; and Layer 4, soft inner foam to keep the pads secure and comfortable.
