The sturdy Benro LS400 Lens Bracket allows you to simultaneously support your heavy telephoto zoom lens and camera with a video tripod head. A video head offers the advantage of a larger support base than a photo head, and it generally offers better damping. This is essential for stability with telephoto zoom lenses. The LS400’s lens plate is vertically adjustable, making it suitable for various lens types.

The purpose of a tripod collar for telephoto zoom lenses is to support the heavy lens, not the relatively lighter camera body. If the body were supported, the lens would pull down under its weight, potentially damaging both the camera and lens mounts. However, even a decent camera body carries a significant weight and therefore deserves support. The Benro LS400 offers two different options for this, in both portrait and landscape modes.

An Arca-Swiss compatible clamp is mounted on top of the vertical stand. By attaching the included mounting plate under your body, you can rest your camera on the stand in landscape mode. By turning the stand over, you can rest the side of your camera on a rubber cap in portrait mode. So no matter which orientation you use your camera in, the LS400 always provides support and takes the strain off your lens mount.

The LS400 is suitable for 600 to 700mm lenses and can be used with the Benro S6, S7, S8, and BV video heads. The clamp on the vertical stand is Arca-Swiss compatible, allowing you to use the included clutch plate, but you can also easily use your own clutch plate or even an L-plate.
