The optical system has a 1000mm focal length and delivers a maximum 1000x magnification. You will see crisp images with low color distortion, thanks to the achromatic optics. To add proper illumination to your images, the scope has a bottom 0.5W white LED lamp, an Abbe condenser with a double lens, and an iris diaphragm. To enable you to emphasize certain details of your samples you are also provided with four color filters, in orange, white, light blue, and green. For precise positioning of your specimens under the objective, the scope offers fine and coarse focusing wheels and a movable square stage with two coaxial Vernier controls. The stage has a metal bracket to secure your slides. Another definite highlight of this microscope is its ability to be operated as both corded or a cordless device using the included accessories: a 220V AC adapter or three rechargeable AAA batteries with a battery charger.
