It has worked well so far, but early days so I'm hesitant to give it a 10/10.

Has an inherent problem that the router occasionally shuts off one port.

I had already read reviews on this item. I have not yet had the time to install it however - which I am looking forward to.

Great Wi-Fi, on 5GHz it gives the full speed of my 89/35Mbps NBN FTTN connection, though on 2.4GHz only 47/35 (both speeds from 1.5m through open air with nothing else connected). Five NBN RSPs give this model out, so approved and working for NBN FTTN/VDSL2. My Internet download speed is up 5Mbps on the NetComm NF10WV. You can limit the speed of individual devices through Quality of Service settings. This is a process to do compared to other routers but detailed instructions are provided. There has not been a new version of the firmware since it was released in April 2016. Will have to watch that. NF10WV has had 3 in the same period. I bought NF17ACV to replace the NF10WV that had LAN ports stop working and could only switch off then on again to fix. The replacement NF10WV did the same thing. All good so far with the NF17ACV. For my situation, at the time I wondered about the merit of spending $50-150 more on the bells-and-whistles routers. Wait and see.

instructions for set up very poor left out one very important detail it took a long time to clear this up

See answer above: basically it is a range extender which, while "working", fails to extend the range of my network (while the product it was meant to replace did do so successfully!).
