Do I need to install an Anti-virus program on my Kogan Agora running gOS?
Generally no. Linux systems do not suffer from the high levels of virus infections that affect Windows computer. However, to be safe you may wish to install Anti-virus software
I get an error when trying to use Open Office. Is there something I need to do?
Yes. Please find instructions in the Initial Startup guide above.
Can I use my Windows programs on gOS?
It is possible to use some Windows programs through the Wine emulator. However, not all programs will work in this way and it is best to use the Linux version where possible.
How do I install other operating systems on my Netbook?
You will need to connect an external Optical drive to the netbook. When you turn on the netbook you will need to press F10 when prompted and select to boot from the Optical Drive. If you do not have an optical drive you can use a USB stick – this may be against the terms contained in the software licence.
I have installed another Distribution of Linux and my touchpad does not work. What do I do?
Please open the Terminal. In the terminal type:
"sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst"
At the end of the last line add
Save and reboot the Netbook and the touchpad should now work.
