ITINERARY

Day 1: Melbourne – Buenos Aires, Argentina

Board your international flight to Buenos Aires, the capital of sunny Argentina! On arrival, make your own way to your hotel or check in.

Day 2: Buenos Aires Free Day (B)

Spend some free time in Buenos Aires, where you can relax and unwind in your 4 star hotel until you’re ready to go out exploring. Why not take a tango class? Buenos Aires is the home of the tango and it’s one of the most exciting aspects of life in the city.

Day 3: Buenos Aires – Celebrity Infinity (B, D)

Journey to the cruise dock where you’ll check into your cabin aboard the Celebrity Infinity! Relax and settle into your luxurious new surroundings before dinner on board this evening.

Days 4 – 6: At Sea (B, L, D)

Take this time to explore some of the amazing amenities and activities onboard. Check out A Taste of Film, where cozy furniture is set before a large outdoor cinema screen, and you’ll be served drinks and nibbles that are inspired by and compliment the film of the night.

Day 7: Ushuaia, Argentina (B, L, D)

The ship arrives in Ushuaia around 9am this morning. Commonly regarded as the Southernmost city in the world, Ushuaia sits on the very tip of Argentina and is surrounded by the beautiful Martial Mountains. The town centre is only a short walk away and offers great duty-free shopping, or you can check out the nearby End of the World Museum or Tierra del Fuego National Park. Return to the ship for a 9pm departure.

Day 8: Cape Horn, Chile (Cruising) (B, L, D)

Continue to sail southwards to Cape Horn, the Southernmost point of Tierra del Fuego. Here the Atlantic Ocean meets the Pacific, and you’ll be blown away by the craggy cliffs and windswept shores as you sail past this beautiful region.

Day 9: Schollart Channel – Paradise Bay – Gerlache Strait, Antarctica (Cruising) (B, L, D)

Today you emerge from the waters of South America and head further South towards Antarctica. Huge ice formations, whales, penguins and seals are common sight in the Schollart Channel, so be sure to have your camera ready!

Continue through to Paradise Bay, named for its tranquil beauty complete with clear waters and spectacular mountains. Home to lots of local wildlife including Minke whales and Gentoo penguins, this pristine bay reflects the rugged beauty of Antarctica at its best. You’ll sail past awe-inspiring landmarks such as Rojas Peak, Bryde Peak, and the Petzval Glacier

End the day near the Gerlache Strait, a unique ecosystem where the waters are some of the most plankton-rich in the world, attracting scores of whales which can often be seen feeding in the waters below the ship.

Day 10: Elephant Island, Antarctica (Cruising) (B, L, D)

This tiny island in the Weddell Sea is famous as the place where intrepid explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton, trapped in the ice during a 1914 polar expedition, took refuge until help arrived. The atmospheric scenery around the island gives a real sense of what the brave explorers would have felt during this ill-fated mission.

Day 11: At Sea (B, L, D)

With everything from a full-sized casino to the serene SpaClub, the Celebrity Infinity has something for everyone whether you’re into rejuvenation or raucous fun. Spend the day being as relaxed or active as you please, as the ship heads back towards South America overnight.

Day 12: Port Stanley, Falkland Islands (B, L, D)

Arrive in one of the most remote capital cities in the world, a former whaling outpost and home to a population of around 2,000. Check out the spectacular cathedral where the front arch is made from the jawbones of two blue whales, and take a day trip out to Gypsy Cove for your best chance of a close-up with a penguin. Return to the ship for a 5pm departure.

Day 13: At Sea (B, L, D)

Take a Celebrity iLearn class and bring your vacation photos to life. Catch some sun at the pool where butlers keep you refreshed with chilled towels and sorbets, or feel your cares melt away in one of the many whirlpool spas.

Day 14: Puerto Madryn, Argentina (B, L, D)

Arrive back in Argentina around 7am this morning, where you’ll have the day to explore Puerto Madryn and the surrounds. The Peninsula Valdes, a wildlife sanctuary where vast numbers of sea elephants, whales and penguins abide, is a firm favourite among visitors, or you could learn about the rich history of the port, and how it was founded in 1865 by Welsh immigrants. The ship departs at 4.30pm.

Day 15: At Sea (B, L, D)

Those seeking health and wellness will have ample opportunity for some holistic healing on the Celebrity Infinity. Take a yoga class in the fitness centre with floor-to-ceiling views of the sea, and feast on healthy options as well as decadent treats with the ship’s huge variety of restaurants and eateries all at your disposal.

Day 16: Montevideo, Uruguay (B, L, D)

Montevideo is a large metropolis bordered by stretches and stretches of pristine beach. The city is famed for its artistic traditions, with a lively and cosmopolitan arts and theatre scene. Montevideo and the surrounds are also famed the world over for producing some of the best cattle in the world, and pretty much any restaurant in the region can offer you a steak of such quality that you’ll be asking for seconds. Explore as you please before the ship departs at 4.30pm.

Day 17: Buenos Aires, Argentina – Australia (B)

This morning you say goodbye to the Celebrity Infinity, and head to the airport for your onward journey back to Australia.

B= Breakfast, L= Lunch, D=Dinner

“We absolutely loved it. The ship was nice, the food was good, and the entertainment was excellent. Antarctica was amazing…the Falkland Islands were an unexpected delight, we took the North Pond tour and it was excellent. The whole experience could not have been better.”

“This was our third cruise, but first on Celebrity; it’s now our favorite line. The food was very very good, above expectations. There is a high ratio of crew to guests and they really do take excellent care of you.”
