Kogan cuts out Coles, Woolies in bid for prepaid phone market

At the close of business on Thursday, BRW Young Rich lister Ruslan Kogan already had more 10,000 people signed up in his plan to capture the prepaid mobile phone market.

“By cutting out Coles and Woolworths we’re able to make it cheaper,” he says. “They don’t get their commission; it’s sold direct to the customer.”

“We don’t need mass marketing; we don’t have distribution costs.”
