These globes require existing 12V DC GU5.3 fixtures and a 12V DC LED lighting transformer.

LED Lighting
LEDs emit more light per watt and are much smaller than incandescent light bulbs, and when turned on achieve full brightness in microseconds. LEDs also radiate very little heat in the form of IR than can cause damage to sensitive objects or fabrics.
GU5.3 Compatible
These downlight globes are compatible with most halogen GU5.3 fixtures. They will also consume less power and produce less heat for a minor reduction in brightness compared to halogen globes.
