Behind the Scenes at Kogan - Internet Server

As we know, Internet shopping is still quite new in Australia. A lot of people are still learning the benefits of e-commerce, including the incredible convenience it offers. As tech-geeks we thought we'd create a visual representation of how quickly we respond to customer enquiries at Kogan.com. This video is a visual representation of what our server has to handle each and every day:

This shows real-time requests coming in from thousands of shoppers like you, finding out information about Kogan products, reading and commenting on the blog, live chatting to our sales team, or downloading a user manual.

In this video, the balls coming in are customer queries, things like - "show me the specifications of this product", or "what TVs do you have over 42", or "take me to check out now please". The paddle on the right is our server responding to all the queries, sort of like a supercharged customer service rep who just downed 5 cans of Red Bull! :)

We thought this was a really cool way of showing how quickly customer queries are answered over the Internet - no need to line up in stores or stand around waiting for a salesman - super-fast responses all from the convenience of your own home.
